Virgin Inter Corse was a racing team founded and managed by Alessandro Linari. After debuting in the 2011 LFS Rejects Cup, the team expanded into other series, with varying degrees of success.

However, in 2014 the team went into administration, and were bought by Scuderia Alitalia

The LFS Reject Cup was Virgin Inter Corse's first foray into motorsport, running two rookies, Todd Cockburn and Phil McCracken. It was a good debut season, with McCracken finishing 2nd in the Drivers Championship, and Todd Cockburn scoring extra points to help the team to 3rd in the Teams Championship. However VIC did not submit an entry for the 2012 season, and the series folded before the new season had begun.

Later, Parma Corse, a new team under the management of Scuderia Alitalia and Il Barone Rampante, participated in Rejects of LFS.

  • Aston Cadet hosted the F1RLFS Sprint Special, a non-championship charity event with test drivers from every team racing.

2013

VIC entered the premier series in F1 Rejects racing - the F1RWRS - in 2013. However, poor management from Day One lead to extremely poor results, with the team failing to make it past pre-qualifying at a single event. They were subsequently kicked out of the series for failing to confirm their entry (the management disappeared at the end of the season) and rubbish results.

Rumors quickly circulated that Linari disappeared after VIC was confirmed to enter F1RWRS that year.

2015 Entry Saga

The team then attempted to re-enter F1RWRS for the 2015 season. They were handed the second entry by the govnerning body, however after Virgin had moved to become title sponsors of Melrose Racing Team, a lawsuit between the two teams began. Predictably, MRT won, and the team folded after it was revealed they had been involved in underhanded dealings with Napoli's infamous Mafia gang, the Camorra.

F1 Rejects Big Car Championship

F1 Rejects' answer to CART, F1 Rejects Big Car Championship, was the starting point for the team's rebuilding process. Entering a Dallara-Toyota, the series is still in its infancy when the team entered, but at the first round the team became a solid midfield runners.

When VIC went into administration and were sold to Scuderia Alitalia, the F1RBCC squad was transferred fully to the new owners, for which Inter Corse's original drivers Carsten Jancker and Nobushige Fukuda still competed until the series collapsed after just two races into the season.
