Ólafur Ragnar Hannesson

Ólafur Ragnar Hannesson is a professional racing driver, who currently drives for ZimSport in the Rejects of LFS series.

Ragnar Hannesson spent the 2011 season as the third and reserve driver at Virgin Inter Corse's F1 Rejects LFS Cup team, and got the chance to race for the team in the F1RLFS Sprint Special, a charity event hosted at Aston Cadet. He took pole position and the race win in the non-championship event, and following this result was said to be in line to replace struggling lead driver Todd Cockburn, however this failed to materialise. He remained in his testing role for the rest of the 2011 season.

The 2012 season fianlly brought a full-time drive however, switching to the Lotus Racing League with Virgin's junior squad Parma Corse. When VIC went into administration, the team was purchased by Il Barone Rampante, and he remained a part of their driver programme.

From there, he switched back to the newly revived F1 Rejects LFS Cup with ZimSport, which had been renamed as Rejects of LFS. His first season in 2014 was a successful one, comprehensively beating his team-mate Mike Stern and scoring two victories on his way to 4th in the drivers championship.
