Giannino "Nino" Barlini (born 3rd December 1997 in Cremona, Italy) is a racing driver currently contracted to Astro Racing Stars. He currently drives for DScity Voeckler in AR3.5.
Racing Career
2015-2016: F1RDS
Barlini joined Red Bull World Race Team's F1RDS team after having dispensed with the services of disappointing Japanese driver Kastazumo Nakaya midseason. Although his first few results were quite low down the pack as he took time to learn the car, he managed an excellent 2nd place in the first race at Donington. He stood out at Germany and Belgium with a pair of well-executed points-scoring drives.
For 2016, Barlini was in demand. Red Bull wished to give Barlini a new contract, but the lure of driving for an Italian team took the young driver to Alessandro Linari's Scuderia Alitalia outfit who had disappointed in 2015 with an abnormally high turnover of drivers that season. After a disappointing start to the season, finishing 21st twice in the first three races, Barlini won at the second race at Donington having taken pole. He won again at Istanbul and Spa-Francorchamps, which helped the Italian take an impressive 4th in the championship.
2017-: AR3.5
Barlini stepped up to the AutoReject 3.5 series with the DScity Voeckler team alongside former F2RWRS driver Michael Robertson.
