Rodriguez stepped up to Formula 4 for the first season of the South American championship as a late edition to the Argentine Equipo Berta squad, partnering Falklander John Pearson and Peruvian Gabriela Alessandra Castañeda. However, it was last but by no means least for Rodriguez, who took four wins in the first 8 races - including back to back grand chelems - to lead the championship.
