William "Bill" Cantrell (born 31 January 1908 in West Point, died 22 January 1996 in Jeffersonville) was an American racing driver who mainly competed in powerboat racing. Cantrell won the prestigious Gold Cup in Detroit in 1949, but also competed in the AAA championship, without much success. Through his competition in the 1950 Indianapolis 500, he is considered a World Championship driver. He finished sixth. Through his powerboat achievements, he was inducted in the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 1992.
