Umberto Maglioli (born 5 June 1928 in Bioglio, died 7 February 1999 in Monza) was an Italian racing driver. An extremely successful sportscar driver, he started his open-wheel career in 1953. However, after driving for Balkan Eagle and Ecurie Albertini, his career didn't truly take off until he signed with B.C.M.A. in 1955. After a rocky start to the year, he scored 5 points, but was quickly dropped. Moving to Ferrari, with whom he had driven in sportscars, a string of retirements were followed by a breakthrough performance, nearly winning the 1956 British Grand Prix before finishing in second. A third place in the Thai Grand Prix netted Maglioli 10 points. His sportscar career outlived his Formula 1 outings, and he retired in 1970 aged 42.
