Reasons for Canon and Non-Canon Headers

Although it may seem like common sense to most viewers of this wiki, identifying pages as non-canon (and some as canon) is an important part of the wiki. One of the functions of the wiki is to familiarise new users to the intricate web of detail that is the RWRS canon. The canon is complex enough without all the non-canon information, and for new users it can be hard to tell one from the other.

There are a limited amount of pages that need to be identified as canon. As all non-canon pages should be identified as being non-canon, by default all remaining pages must be canon, meaning that all canon pages do not need to be identified as canon. However, sometimes it is necessary, such as two non canon and canon entities sharing the same name. An example of this can be found with the non-canon Women Drivers Association and the canon Women Drivers Association.

To identify a page as canon, use the code {{canon}}. To identify a page as non-canon, use the code {{non-canon}}. Both templates will automatically add canon or non-canon categories to the page, so these do not need to be added manually.

Please utilise this new idea.
