Racing Point is a British racing team. They are active in the AutoReject World Series.

AutoReject World Series (2023-present)

The reestablishment of the ARWS in 2023 created openings for new teams. Racing Point purchased the Coventry factory of the defunct Peak Aeroracing Engineering as their base of operations. Team principal William Storey's Rich Energy company provided tremendous backing as title sponsors.

2023

Racing Point-Koenigsegg hired the last recognised ARWS champion, Bastiaan van Nieuwenhuijzen to lead the team. This granted Racing Point numbers 0 and 2 on the entry list, with Takuma Taki filling the second seat. van Nieuwenhuijzen was expected to lead the team through their debut season, and was frequently among the quickest drivers in every session of the season, if not the quickest. However, severe unreliability with the Koenigsegg engines was a constant storyline through the season, and ultimately, he would only finish twice all season - though one of these was a crushingly dominant win at the Scandinavian Grand Prix. This left Taki to collect the bulk of the teams points during the season, and incredibly, the Japanese driver won twice, despite never having qualified for an ARWS race in 20 attempts prior to the 2023 season.

Through a combination of Taki's strong performances and van Nieuwenhuijzen collecting a full 100 bonus points for fastest laps through the season, Racing Point emerged from 2023 4th in the Constructors Championship, the best of any team running I3 engines. However, with both championships out of reach pretty much from the start of the season, William Storey took to often venting his frustration through various posts on X (formerly Twitter), notably claiming the series was 'rigged' when Ås Fartway was announced as not returning to the 2024 schedule - this was supposedly, if ARWS officials were to be believed, due to safety concerns, as two drivers suffered severe concussions in separate incidents during the race.

2024

Seeking to turn the page on an ultimately disappointing 2023 season, Racing Point made a change to their driving lineup by hiring French rookie Aimée Gauthier, though they would stick with Koenigsegg engines for another season. After contract negotiations with Bastiaan van Nieuwenhuijzen ultimately came up fruitless, the team opted to resign Takuma Taki after his sensational 2023 season.
