Born 21st March 1960
Nationality Flag of Brazil svg.png Brazilian

Ernesto Althoff is a Brazilian racing driver. The son of wealthy German-Brazilian landowners in Santa Catarina, Althoff has used his family's money to make the lengthy journey to the United Kingdom to pursue a motorsports career. Flag of France svg.png Réné Decarié

Details
Name Réné Decarié
Born 15th February 1951
Nationality Flag of France svg.png French

Réné Decarié is a French racing driver. After four moderately successful seasons of Formula Renault Europe, he made the step up to Formula Two in 1978 with AGS Team Motul. A difficult season in which he failed to qualify to one third of the races he entered caused him to take a step back into Formula Three with Ecurie Elf. He regained sufficient form to earn a recall to AGS Team Motul for 1980, and he experienced considerably more success: two wins and two pole positions were enough to secure sixth position in the final year of the European Championship.

Flag of Italy svg.png Edoardo Ferlaino

Details
Name Edoardo Ferlaino
Born 26th March 1958
Nationality Flag of Italy svg.png Italian

Born and raised in Naples, Edoardo Ferlaino is a nephew of SSC Napoli president Corrado Ferlaino, himself a former gentleman driver, who financed the early steps of his nephew's career. The talent shown in Formula Three between 1977 and 1978 (as well as his uncle's hefty financial support) led to him signing with Shadow, where his racecraft shone to the point Colin Chapman gave him a chance at Lotus ahead of the 1980 season. Often considered one of the last "true gentleman drivers", Ferlaino is known outside the track as a soft-spoken, well-mannered young man with a charming Neapolitan accent.

Born 8th August 1953
Nationality Flag of the United Kingdom svg.png British

Neil Maxwell was born and raised in Leeds, but lives on the Isle of Wight with his wife. He is a part-time ambulance driver, a job that allows him to drive really fast and not get arrested. Visually he is characterised by his mutton chops, which easily distinguish him from his fellow drivers. He has got up through the ranks due to his talent more than his money, and his bubbling personality makes him a favourite of the British teams. A very hard worker, he's also a fan favourite due to the fact that things seem to constantly go wrong for him during a race weekend, making him an underdog.

Born 8th August 1949
Nationality Flag of Colombia svg.png Colombian

Leandro Rodriguez-Ferry arrives in Europe with a diverse range of experience in national-level motorsports ranging from motorcycles to stock cars and sportscars. This had been achieved with modest financial backing from a "car dealership" in his hometown of Cali, but Rodriguez-Ferry arrives in Europe with far greater sponsorship from the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia, and the personal support of the very wealthy Colombian businessman and politician Pablo Escobar. What could possibly go wrong?

Flag of Zimbabwe svg.png Max Spoed

Details
Name Max Spoed
Born 31st August 1954
Nationality Flag of Zimbabwe svg.png Zimbabwean

MAX SPOED #1 needs no introduction. A race winner in the enigmatic 1979 GPR rFactor Championship and a former South African Formula Atlantic champion, Spoed is looking to make the jump up to the international stage - be it in F2 or a one-off appearance in Kyalami in F1 machinery. He is known for being very demanding of his engineers, giving constant feedback about his set-up throughout the weekend, and has been known to turn up at the test track on days testing hasn't even been scheduled.

Flag of Italy svg.png Umberto Uccello

Details
Name Umberto Uccello
Born 11th November 1937
Nationality Flag of Italy svg.png Italian

Umberto Uccello is a racing driver who became known as the Orso Austriaco (Austrian Bear) after his shock race win at the Osterreichring in 1975. Ucello started his racing career unusually late in life. After giving up racing motorcycles, he moved to race cars in 1968. By 1970, he had climbed the ranks all the way to Formula Two, and would score a series of improbable race wins in his mid-thirties. Now well into his fifth decade, he does not believe that this has to spell the end of his career, and he continues to seek drives in 1981 in either Formula One or Formula Two.
