Laerke Kjellerup (born 19.8.1994 in Holstebro, Denmark), is a danish racing driver currently competing in the Porsche Reject Cup.

Early Career

Kjellerup, daughter of GT racing driver and team owner Mattias Kjellerup, started karting at the age of eleven. She showed some talent, and won several local and national events, before competing on a european level in 2008. At the age of 15, she made the switch to single-seaters, competing in the ADAC Formel Masters in 2009 and 2010. After a difficult debut season, she was only able to stay in the series because her father entered a car for her. But in 2010, results were improving, and she managed to score several podiums and even a race win in a chaotic wet race at the Nürburgring. In 2011, she moved up to German Formula 3, but it was once again a difficult year. More than some points finishes and a third place at Hockenheim wasn't possible. When her results didn't improve in 2012, she gave up the dream of becoming a Formula 1 or F1RWRS driver at the end of the year, and switched to GT racing. During first test, it became clear that she had much more talent in GT cars. Soon she set better times than her father, and by the end of 2013, she was as far away from professional racing drivers like Jasper Lerby. She continued to drive in Porsche Supercup and selected GT endurance races, like the 24 Hours of Spa.

Porsche Reject Cup

In 2016, Mattias Kjellerup decided to field two cars for the inaugural season of the Porsche Reject Cup. One of them was entered for Laerke.
