Johnny Claes Memorial Trophy

The Johnny Claes Memorial Trophy is an award given out by tommykl after every Formula 1 season to the driver who has spent the greatest amount of laps as last runner over the season. The award is named after Johnny Claes, the first great of the award and the first two-time winner. Prior to 1979, the award was known as the Formula 1 Rejects Mediocrity Award. It was renamed in 1978, after Claes dropped off the all-time top-ten list.
