Goran Jordanovic

Goran Jordanovic (born 28 September 1992 in Hobart, Tasmania) is a racing driver for the Hydook Racing Team. He races under the Croatian flag, although he competed for Australia earlier in his career. He holds dual nationality of these two countries.

Early and personal life

The son of Edwin Jordan (Edvard Jordanovic) and Eva. Jordanovic competed under the Australian and Croatian flags at different times during his early career, but now he races under the Croatian flag in Lotus Racing League, as defined by his passport.

He currently lives in Rijeka, Croatia, and is a frequent guest at the local Grobnik race track.

He is fluent in English, Croatian and Italian.

Career

In 2006 he won the Australian Production Car Championship, becoming the youngest ever driver to win an Australian championship. In the same year he also contested some rounds of the Australian Formula 3 Championship and raced in the Australian GT Performance Car Championship. He was offered a drive by Holden in V8 Supercars, but he refused and continued his career in Europe.

In 2008 he contested two races in the Formula Renault 2.0 NEZ series, taking two pole positions and a race victory to finish the season in 8th place, and a single round of the Formula Renault 2.0 West European Cup at Spa–Francorchamps.

In September 2011, Jordanovic made his debut in the Formula One–supporting GP3 Series at Carlin for the ultimate round of the season at Monza. After finishing 11th in the first race, he won race two and scored six points.

In 2012 he returned to Australia and contested in three rounds of V8 Supercars with the best finish of 9th at Hamilton 400.

In 2014 he was signed by Hydook Racing Team to compete in Lotus Racing League.

For 2015, Jordanovic competed in the F1 Rejects Indy Championship Series in America, driving for Hydook Racing.
