George John Lynch, Sr. (born 20 June 1918 in Butte, died 6 May 1997 in Los Angeles) was an American racing driver. Primarily a sprint car and midget driver in the Midwest, he drove in the AAA National Championship from 1948, with little success. Competing in the 1950 Indianapolis 500, but retired shortly after halfway with overheating issues. He never started an AAA race after 1950, but occasionally attempted to qualify until 1955. He retired from motorsport in 1957.
