Duke Dinsmore

J. Carlyle "Duke" Dinsmore (born 10 April 1913 in Williamstown, West Virginia, died 12 October 1985 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida) was an American racing driver. Competing in the AAA championship from 1946 to 1956, he achieved top ten championship finishes in 1946 and 1950, including a victory in Sacramento. He also competed in the Indianapolis 500 when it was a World Championship event, being entered for both Motorsport Bleu and Scuderia Platé-Varzi. Qualifying with both cars, he eventually raced for the former and finished seventh.
