Claus-Simon Schlusser is the name of a privateer that entered the 1956 East German Grand Prix.

Pre-F1

Almost nothing is known about Schlusser before his F1 entry; he claimed to have a garage business in a small unspecified town on Bavaria. However, no documents were ever found about such business. It's also unknown how he obtained the Cooper-Bentley package. Even more suspicious, he hired Spider Webb, a driver who had been rumoured to be connected with the American goverment after his failed attempt at entering the Soviet Grand Prix.

After entering the race, the privateer saw themselves massively outperfomed because of the inadequeate package. However, in a miracle, Spider Webb made it to the main race, after his car managed to stay in one piece for a long period of time. That would never happened. Spider Webb and Schlusser dissapeared later, leaving the Cooper-Bentley package behind. Later that day, communist intelligence was reportedly stolen, and many connected the stolen technology to Spider Webb's dissaperance from the paddock.

Later that week, Schlusser was reportedly spotted near Washington D.C, but wasn't available for comment and was taken away in a saloon car.
