Chris Hodgetts (born 6 December 1950 in Tanworth-in-Arden, Warwickshire) is a British former racing driver.

Career

Hodgetts spent much of his professional career in the British Touring Car Championship and World Touring Car Masters series in the 1980s and early 1990s.

Hodgetts won the BTCC outright twice (in 1986 & 1987) and won his class on five occasions. His 1987 title nearly saw him join the works Mercedes-Benz team in the inaugural WTCM season in 1988 however he could not come to an agreement with the German manufacturer.

Over the course of the next few years, Hodgetts took part in the British rounds of the world series with little success although he'd join Prodrive in 1991 for a part season sharing the #77 BMW 318i with Leonhard von Gottorp.

Personal Life

Hodgetts now works as a driver coach and instructor. His son, Stefan is also a racing driver.
