Casper Toft (born 17/03/1993 in Aarhus, Denmark) is a Danish racing driver who is currently competing in the SARS series for Ecurie Prenois.

Early life and career

Casper grew up in Aarhus with his parents and one brother. The family was wealthy and there was no problem to fund Casper's try on gokarts when he decided that he would try to be a racing driver. Casper started in the gokart-club in Tirstrup Airport, but as it closed down a few years later he needed to find a new club.

The year he turned 16 he jumped into the Danish Formula Ford series and within two years he was hailed as champion. He then took the move down south to Germany and ADAC Formel Masters. A year with both ups and downs took him one step higher to the ATS German Formula 3 championship. Another mixed season with 2 wins, though a lot of retirements held him out of the championship fight.

As he couldn't get a seat for the following season he made the step away from Formulas and into Touringcars joining the ADAC Procar series. The season turned out well with some good results and the title of Rookie of the Year. The following season he made appearances in both the Procar and GT series in Germany as well as a one-off in the Carrera Cup.

Siemens Ausdauer Reject Series

For the 2016 season he joined up with French team Ecurie Prenois for the new-for-2016 SARS series. It was Casper's first experience with endurance racing, but together with the French team he hoped to learn a lot in the first year.

Together with Lucas di Grassi and Nick Heidfeld he won the non-championship SARS Presentation Race in the Streets of London. The team, however, withdrew from the campaign before the championship races.

GT-R World Championship

Leaving Ecurie Prenois and SARS he joined up with Chris Winter at Luxray Engineering in the 2016 GT-R World Championship season. They debuted in the fifth round, in Canada, taking 10th place. For the remainder of the season they had another 10th place in China, but retired from 7 of 10 races in total, leaving them 32nd in the standings. Casper also participated in the 2016 Aston 12 Hours with Luxray, ending 11th of 13 finishers and 20 starters.
