Bratislav Bosevic (born 1st February 1949 in Ilok, Croatia) is a Croatian businessman, aeronautic engineer and father of two racing drivers: Mirko and Anton.

Biography

Born to the family of shoemakers, Bratislav spent his childhood helping his father in the workshop. Despite showing signs of multiple talents, like singing and painting, Bratislav was convinced by his parents to pursue a career in engineering, given how much attention communist Yugoslavia gave to the workers. After attending a technical school in Zagreb he moved to Zadar to work for Antonov's subsidiary as a junior designer. In 1974 he met his future wife Vesna whom he married two years later and their first son, Mirko Bosevic, was born.

Looking for a better opportunity for his son and a place to start anew, Bratislav moved out of Yugoslavia and settled in Hungary, that was considered a much more liberal place to live in than any other in the Eastern Bloc. Bosevics lived in Budapest, where Bratislav opened his little hand-made shoes store in 1988, which flourished after the fall of communism and now is a chain of 20 stores in the whole of Hungary, with factory facilities on the outskirts of Csepel.
