Art Dollar (born Clifton Alexander Cruickshank III on 14th March 1999 in Haverford Township, Pennsylvania) is a Tropican-American racing driver and NFT businessman best known as the founder of the Monte Carlo Millionaire Driver's Club.

Business Career

In late 2020, a user by the name of "Art Dollar" founded the Monte Carlo Millionaire Drivers Club Discord server, promising to mint a run of 1,000 non-fungible tokens on New Year's Day 2021. The tokens took the form of racing drivers wearing procedurally generated helmets and partially open overalls, in front of an artist's impression of the Loews Hairpin at the Circuit de Monaco. Most of the pieces sold for insignificant amounts, but three pieces attracted significant interest: one had a blue and white helmet and attracted a bid equivalent to $280,000 to Clinton Cruickshank III; one had an exact likeness of the late Niki Lauda's 1976 helmet, creating huge controversy for obvious reasons; and one had the colours of Terry Hawkin's racing helmet, and was bought by the driver himself. These three prices alone brought "Art Dollar" the appearance of a near-million dollar income. He announced to his Discord server that he would be using the proceeds of the Monte Carlo Millionaire Drivers Club to fund a motorsports team by the same name, for whom he would drive.

Motorsports Career

Shortly before his NFT windfall, Clinton Alexander Cruickshank III officially became a Tropican citizen. This attracted zero attention at the time. Indeed, people continued not to care when it became apparent that Cruickshank was the same person who minted NFTs and raced Formula Three under the name of Art Dollar, despite the fact that that certainly seems like a financial crime in some way. Dollar promised the Monte Carlo Millionaire Driver's Club that every single lap of his racing career would be minted and put up for sale as an NFT - "be it an installation lap in practice, or a last-corner race-winning overtake!" It remains to be seen how he will perform in the 2021 FIA Formula 3 Americas Championship.
