Allan McNish (born 29 December 1969 in Dumfries) is a British former racing driver, commentator, and journalist from Scotland.

After a fairly successful 1989 season in Formula 3000 where he took a fifth place overall with 3 podiums and a pole position, McNish moved to Eddie Jordan Racing for 1990. Eventually this became a test driver seat for the Jordan Formula One team in 1991 and after regular driver Bertrand Gachot was sentenced to a London prison for an incident, McNish made his debut at that year's Belgian Grand Prix. After four DNFs to start his F1 career, McNish rebounded with a seventh place in Japan and a sixth place at the rain-shortened Australian Grand Prix; the latter earning him first points. 1992 saw Jordan in financial trouble and scoring points proved to be impossible with the Yamaha V12 engine. McNish recorded a DNQ and his best results during the season were two 11th place finishes.

In the late 1990's McNish moved to the sports car scene before returning to Toyota in its first ever season in 2002. McNish however failed to score points. In 2003 McNish was a test driver for Renault and after the season he returned to sportscars.
