Adam Lewis (born May 7, 1973 in London, England) is a retired British racing driver known for competing in the first season of the F1RWRS. Of the 20 drivers to have competed in the first season of the series, Lewis remains the only driver never to have won a race.

Motorsport Career

Early career

Absolutely nothing is known of Lewis' early life, and almost nothing is known of his pre- and post-F1RWRS racing career. Since the unearthing of the early career of Dan BH, Lewis remains the biggest mystery in the series.

F1RWRS

When the F1RWRS started, the series was open to any driver. Formula 1 drivers Thomas De Bock, Daniel Melrose and Sammy Jones, sportscar drivers like Simon Redman or privateers like Luca Pacchiarini. However, Lewis was a complete unknown, but the first-come-first-served policy meant that he would race the whole season for KQ Motor Sports.

Lewis was immediately on good terms with his team mate Hagane Shizuka. Lewis did not take part in pre-season testing due to his late signing, and predictably, his first race was sub-par. At Hockenheim, he qualified last and finished 16th, while Shizuka was fifth. The rest of the season was much better, with the KQ proving to be a decent midfield contender. Lewis finished sixth at the Nürburgring after running third at one point, despite being struck with the flu.

The next races were tougher, and despite a marked improvement in qualifying pace, Lewis failed to score until the Tasman Grand Prix, where he finished ninth. He finished a dismal 17th in Bahrain, but rebounded at the Belgian Grand Prix. He qualified third and led from the start. He ended up leading four laps before dropping to sixth, scoring five more points. He rounded out the year with two more minor points finishes, leading three laps in Silverstone.

However, by that point, the atmosphere in the team was getting tense. Shizuka was complaining about a chronic lack of traction, arguing that the team was favouring Lewis. Shizuka left the team to fill in the spot left by Douglas Mann at West Cliff Racing. Mann was tempted to drive for KQ himself, but eventually formed his own team, Anglo-Manx Racing. Lewis, meanwhile, was nowhere to be found, and chose to retire from motorsport, while Kia and Hyundai, the team's backers, left the team as well. KQ had no choice but to close it's F1RWRS team.

Later career

After leaving the F1RWRS, Lewis returned to Britain to compete in the British touring Car Championship with moderate success. He retired from motorsport at the end of the 2012 season.
