The 1997 Duel in the Desert was a non-championship race that occurred at Phoenix Street Circuit around the streets of Phoenix, Arizona. The race was an addendum to the 1997 F1RGP2C season and featured ten guest drivers who raced alongside the regular drivers from the F1RGP2C. The teams were also required to pick a guest driver to replace one of their main drivers on the team.
