Thierry Marc Boutsen (born 13 July 1957 in Brussels, Belgium) is a Belgian former racing driver best known for his appearances in Formula One.

Formula One

1987-1989: Benetton

After debuting in the early 1980s, Boutsen was established as Benetton's team leader by 1987. Benetton were a decent midfield team in 1987 and Boutsen was able to finish on the podium twice - taking second places at home in Belgium and also in Detroit. Boutsen finished in ninth place.

Benetton took a massive nosedive in performance in the next two years and as such Boutsen failed to score in either 1988 or 1989.

1990-: March

After Benetton disbanded their team in favour of purchasing a share in Arrows, Boutsen opted to sign with the Leyton House March Racing Team in 1990. Using Honda engines, March were a marked improvement on the Benetton of the previous years and as a result Boutsen would return to the points on occasion.
