1976-: Various teams

Nève began the 1976 season with the Wolf-Williams team, racing the first four rounds alongside Frenchman François Migault - his best results being a trio of eleventh places in the first three rounds. For his home race, the Belgian Grand Prix, Nève moved across to the Ensign team, where he would run decenlty before retiring. Nève third team of the season would prove to be his best option, joining the rookie French team of Ligier alongside Jacques Laffite. His first race with Ligier would also be his first points, taking a fifth place in the British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch - which would be bettered by a fourth place finish in Canada. Nève finished the season in 16th place overall.

In the lead up to the 1977 season, Nève rejected an approach from Penske in favour of racing the first two Grands Prix with the Hesketh team. He was unable to qualify in either attempt.

The following year, Neve signed for the March Engineering team alongside Tom Pryce.
