The 2016-2017 Pacific Rim Cup, known as the DHL Pacific Rim Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the inaugural Pacific Rim Cup. The event was formed for 9 races split into three legs, with three races each in Australia, Asia, and North America. The Cup took place in the off-season of major competition, using old F2RWRS Dallara chassis and Lancia powerplants.
