The 2019 WTCX season was the first season of the of WTCX championship, which offered a unique hybrid of touring car racing with a rallycross format of heats and a final, each contested over an approximately ten-mile distance. The season was dominated by Lynk & Co Drivers Champion Thed Bjork, but the collective efforts of Hyundai's driver trio meant that they won the Manufacturer's Championship. The leading Independent entry was Tiago Monteiro in a KCMG-run Cupra.
