Jacky Ickx

Jacques Bernard "Jacky" Ickx (born 1st January, 1945, in Brussels, Belgium) is a Belgian former racing driver known for his appearances in Formula One.

1977:

Following a year out of F1 in 1976, Ickx returned to the grid in 1977 with the Ligier team alongside Jacques Laffite, signing a two year contract. Ickx would take two fifth places as his only points scores in 1977, finishing the season in sixteenth place. Ickx would miss the season ending Japanese Grand Prix due to visa issues and as such would allow Harvey Jones to make his Formula One debut.

Ickx was set to remain at Ligier in 1978 but was fired from the during the off-season. His replacement would be François Migault
