Mid-season changes
- Amanda Lewis and Orestes Granicus were both banned from the Deep Forest Raceway round after dangerously striking Nicolas Vásquez's car on lap 35. Daniel Cake will drive Granicus' car for the round while Lewis was reinstated following an appeal by her team.
- From the fifth round onwards, Cake gained a full time drive when Dish Cleaner Racing withdrew from the series.
- After Jason van Drunen's inability to get to grips with the twistier circuits on the Warped calendar resulted in him failing to qualify twice in the first six races, Clatterham Racing decided to alternate their drivers. Tarmo Mõõk was given the #11 car on the circuits with more corners, while those with more straights - or sections which could easily be straightened - van Drunen would be driving on.
- Becker was banned from the SSR11 round for causing an avoidable accident at SCA Motorplex. His replacement was Phil Marks, the janitor of the nearby school.
- After the SSR11 round, the Twinnings Earl Grey-sponsored team changed ownership from The Fighting Mongooses to Davies Racing Team.
- Nicolas Vasquez and Nasib Najib Bata suffered leg injuries in seperate accidents in the Sunset Peninsula race. Vasquez was replaced by Colombian Alferdo Benitez, while the series comission elected former Dish Cleaner Racing driver Tommy Watson to drive in place of Bata after the team failed to elect a replacement in time.
Pre-season tests
A pre-season testing was held in Apricot Hill raceway, in two sessions. Due to a water sprinkler mishap (the second session was intended to be a rain simulation session), the track became so wet that the management have to pay the circuit owners the water bills.
