The 2019 Rescale Indy Lights season is the first year of a rebooted support series for the IndyCar Series, and the 30th since the feeder series' inception in 1986.
All teams in the series will use the new VGP i1 chassis built by Voeckler GPE, which will be coupled to a newly designed Infiniti V6 Hybrid engine, assembled by AER. Series organisers also signed a two year exclusive tyre supply deal with Hankook. Returning to the sport are Carlin, Belardi Auto Racing, Team Pelfrey and Juncos Racing, along with new teams populating the remainder of the grid.

Schedule
Given its role as a feeder series to the premier IndyCar Series, nine of the ten rounds in the 2019 championship act as support races to the senior series, including two trips into Canada. The only exception to this is the opening round of the season in Puebla, where Indy Lights will instead act as a support round to the FIA Endurance Challenge.
