The 1956 Formula One season was the seventh in the history of Formula One. It was notable for the deaths of Dries van der Lof and 7 spectators at the French Grand Prix, as well as that of André Milhoux at the East German Grand Prix, and those of Tony Brooks and Paco Godia at the Scottish Grand Prix.
