The Jones 106 was an F3RWRS racing car designed by the Jones Racing Group for the 2015 F3RWRS season. In addition to Jones Racing themselves using the car, JLD Motorsport also signed a customer deal for the chassis, in return supplying the Jones team with their tuned BMW engines.
Following the successes of Jones Racing Group's 2014 104 car which finished runner-up in both the drivers' and teams' championships, the 106 was widely tipped to be one of the main challengers for the 2015 F3RWRS season. The car was powered by a BMW unit, which replaced the impressive Volkswagen engine which had been used the previous year. With the car being used by two teams as well, the additional data from the extra cars was hoped to provide better development for the car over the season.
Ultimately the car failed to live up to it's pre-season hype, with Eric Swerts taking a sole win at the final race of the year, the Surfers SuperPrix. The Belgian finished fourth overall in the standings, the highest placed Jones chassis driver. Overall the Jones team outperformed JLD Motorsport, however JLD driver Joel Melrose scored a string of points finishes across the season and won all of the car's five pole positions. A number of other drivers drove the other JLD entries, including Nick Nurmester, making his debut in the series which he would later go on to win.
In the inaugural F3RWRS constructors' championship, Jones with the 106 was well beaten by the Dallara F3R15 which was campaigned by a numerically superior eight teams. However with the lack of any other consistent opposition, Jones would finish best of the rest, and lay the foundations for their future chassis business.
