The 1953 Formula One season was the fourth in the history of the championship, with B.Bira the reigning champion. Tony Bettenhausen won the driver's title by a single point from Consalvo Sanesi, who won the most races. Jaguar-Aston Martin won both the constructor's championship and the entrant's championship.
