The 2017 Automobile Club de l’Ouest Le Mans Cup was the first running of the ACO Le Mans Cup, formed after the collaps of WEC. At the end of 2016, the management of this new series bought out the Siemens Ausdauer Reject Series.

The ACO and the AFRM both awarded automatic entry slots for the 2017 Le Mans Cup, both for the duration of the season and for one-off events. Teams could choose whether to accept or deny this entry.
