Remindergate refers to a series of high-profile incidents where Mecha Grand Prix senior management sent a series of scathing and malicous emails about the time taken to decide their line-ups for 2015. While the paddock had known about Mecha GP's actions for quite some time, the actual state of affairs was brought into the cold light of day by the new owners of the Sunshine team Daihatsu.. Upon hearing the contents of the emails sent by Mecha GP, the team volunteered to reduce it's level of contact with other team bosses. Several hours later, however, F1RWRS series management issued a statement saying that Mecha GP shall not contact any personnel from another team in any of the F1 Rejects Council sanctioned events (F1RWRS, F2RWRS, F3RWRS, ROGT, REECS, TMRRC and the ROLFS). If the team breached the terms of the statement, then the team shall be ejected from the Reject World Race Series and face the risk of a lifetime ban.

The controversy led to the executive management's unanimously voting to impeach Mecha Grand Prix's principal, Mahmud Effendi. The controversy also was completely out of character.
