Grand Prix Former Winners Alternate Championship

From Formula Rejects Wiki

In Grand Prix Former Winners Alternate Championship, all former winners of the event are eliminated. The restriction is on the event itself, and not the circuit. A driver can win twice on same circuit, assuming it's held under two different titles, like circuits such as Dijon, Brands Hatch, Imola and Nürburgring have done. A driver cannot win same event in two locations, so as Lewis Hamilton won a race at Fuji in 2007, he can't win Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.

When a new event is added to the calendar, everyone is able to compete in the first time.

Example

Michael Schumacher won inaugular Bahrain Grand Prix in 2004. Fernando Alonso won in 2005. In 2006 Alonso won ahead of Schumacher and Kimi Räikkönen, who inherits the win.

Felipe Massa won in 2007 and 2008. In the latter race, Räikkönen was second and Robert Kubica third, so Kubica is the winner. Jenson Button won the event in 2009, while Alonso and Massa were top two in 2010. As both were eliminated, third-placed Lewis Hamilton became the winner.
