Friedl Kallström is a photographer, and part-time racing driver from Malmö, Sweden.

Though not having any interest in motorsport whatsoever, a chance encounter with taxi driver Carlos Marquez when making a photo documentary together with LGBT-activist Frederico Angeli, got him in contact with motorsport. Originally only intending to support Marquez career, he decided to try the infamous Life L190 car himself. He made a documentary about the car and the Life Grand Prix Series, making the dangers of the series publicly known, leading to the demise of the series. Friedl remained linked to the Great Leap Backward team as a financial advisor, occasionally doing some test work for the team. However, due to his sarcastic attitude, he got into trouble with the team management, being sacked after the 1996 season. Kallström never did any serious attemt to return to motor racing, except a few touring car races as a journalist.
