Formula One Rejects Motorsport

Formula One Rejects Motorsport is an Australian Formula One team active in the Formula One Rejects Microprose Grand Prix Series from the 2011 season onwards. For its first two seasons it was known only as Formula One Rejects; the addition of "Motorsport" to the name for the 2013 season, and the resultant acronym ("F1RM") coupled with the team's success in F1RMGP and their inherent link to the series itself (it could be said that the team is the F1RMGP equivalent of Ferrari, despite the presence of a Ferrari team in the 2011 F1RMGP season) means they are sometimes known as "The Firm".

Formation

Scuderia Ferrari are inextricably linked with Formula One, having been a constant presence in the sport from the inaugural World Championship season in 1950 to the present day, and staying competitive throughout - bar a few aberrations such as the 1980 312T5. As such, with the creation of the Formula One Rejects Microprose Grand Prix series by Sir Bernard Shekelslike, there had to be one team, built from the ground up as "the team to beat". As the series was run in conjunction with the Australian Formula One Rejects website, then those would be the people to provide that number one team. Hence, Webmaster Jamie McGregor and Site Author And Senior Grand Prix Analyst Enoch Law were appointed as the team co-principals, charged with building "the car to beat" out of the most rejectful bits and pieces of F1 history, or at least those bits of F1 history in the 1980s and 1990s that the website was originally heavily focused on. The obvious choice for the engine was the Life arrow-formation W12, which could be heavily tweaked by the F1 Rejects mechanics to be the revolutionary powerplant that Ernesto Vita had intended it to be in 1990. The chassis was cobbled together from bits and pieces found in a skip outside the factory of Dallara, recently responsible for building (if that's the right word) the hopeless Hispania F110 for F1's 2010 season - this old chassis was apparently a Dallara 191 from 1991, which was then sent to Geely, with the intention that the Chinese designers would trample and ignore the intellectual property of Dallara the way they do with everything else, and produce a cheap clone of the 191 which was somehow magically better than the original, and all the other circa 1990-91 designs that the other competing teams had pillaged from whatever sources they could get their hands on. The choice of drivers was obvious. The lead car, bearing number 1, would be driven by he who inspired hero worship from the two F1 Rejects authors and now Team Principals during a 2009 interview at the Australian Grand Prix, he who is capable of such awesome achivements at absolutely everything that even Chuck Norris runs away crying in his presence, He Whose Name Shall Never Be Mentioned. And there was another driver whose almost unbelievably rejectful antics in 1994-95 saw him immortalised in the name of another F1 Rejects forum, he who was lapped ten times at Adelaide in 1994 before returning for another couple of eventful races with Pacific the next year - it could only be Jean-Denis Délétraz. Now, we would all be presented with the opportunity to find out for ourselves over a whole season: "what is Délétraz doing?"

Proof that the whole could totally transcend the sum of its parts would start at Phoenix, Arizona, in the inaugural race of the 2011 F1RMGP season.
