This page details the full set of rules and regulations for F1 Rejects forum members wishing to participate in the Formula 3 Rejects World Race Series (F3RWRS) with either a team or drivers.

The contents of this page are independent of the virtual world in which the championship is set, and should be treated as final. Anyone wishing to raise an issue over anything contained on this page should do so on the relevant thread on the forum.

1. Entries

1.1. Team Requirements

1.1.1. Any existing member of the F1 Rejects Forum can enter a team into the F3RWRS.
1.1.2. Each member can only enter one (1) team into the F3RWRS.
1.1.3. Each team can only employ two (2) drivers at any one time.
1.1.4. Each team must state it's chassis and engine prior to entering the F3RWRS.
1.1.5. A team's chassis can be an in-house creation, or a customer deal with another manufacturer.
1.1.6. A team's engine must be selected from the list provided prior to the start of the following season.
1.1.7. The 2016 season engine list is as follows:

1.1.8. Each team should state it's nationality before entering the F3RWRS.
1.1.9. Each team must select the numbers for its cars prior to entry. The numbers can be any from 0-99, providing they haven't already been taken by an existing team.
1.1.10. The previous year's champion has the right to use car #1 if they wish. If they do not race in the following F3RWRS season, the championship-winning team then have the right to use #1 for any of their drivers. If they choose not to, or the champion continues to race but doesn't use it, then nobody is permitted to use #1.
1.1.11. With the information listed above, a member should submit their proposed entry to the F3RWRS no earlier than the penultimate round of the preceding season, in the F3RWRS thread.

1.2. Driver Requirements

1.2.1. As of 2017, no more than 10% (3 Drivers) of the race seats on the F3RWRS grid may be occupied by drivers owned by the same Driver Entitlement Contract (DEC) holder.
1.2.2. Should a DEC holder not exceed this limit, they can enter individual drivers into the F3RWRS which can be placed at either a team they also run, or at other members' teams.
1.2.3. Test and reserve drivers are not included in the limit, unless they have a race drive elsewhere in the RWRS.
1.2.4. A driver can only be eligible if they have never raced in the F1RWRS or F1 (non-championship races don't count), have started less than ten (10) F2RWRS races (the 2013 FedEx 100 excluding), and is under the age of thirty (30).
1.2.5. The driver age limit will drop to twenty-seven (27) in 2017.

2. Season Calendar

2.1. Calendar Organisation

2.1.1. The F3RWRS calendar shall be finalised upon the publication of the F1RWRS calendar, from which the F3RWRS will decide which races it will support.

2.2. Race Weekend Format

2.2.1. Events are split between 'traditional' race weekends, and 'SuperPrix' weekends.
2.2.2. Traditional race weekends will involve two (2) fifty (50) kilometre races, with the grids determined by two (2) qualifying sessions, one before each race.
2.2.3. Qualifying 1 will be sixty (60) minutes long. Qualifying 2 with be fifteen (15) minutes long. In each session, each driver is allowed one flying lap.
2.2.4. Any driver who sets a time outside 105% of the pole time will not be allowed to take the start, except in exceptional circumstances. In wet weather, this is increased to 107%.
2.2.5. Two SuperPrix weekends will involve a single (1) qualifying session, followed by one (1) one hundred (100) kilometre race.
2.2.6. The Surfers SuperPrix will involve a single (1) qualifying session, followed by one (1) two hundred (200) kilometre race.
2.2.7. All races are counted as individual races, and there is a podium for each race.

3. Points System

3.1. Distribution of Points

3.1.1. For traditional race weekends, each race will carry the same weight in points won. The top 15 drivers in each race will score points: 25-20-16-13-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
3.1.2. Pole position in all qualifying sessions will be rewarded with 1 point.
3.1.3. Fastest lap in all races will be rewarded with 1 point.

3.2. Championships

3.2.1. The Drivers' Championship is open to all drivers who compete in the F3RWRS over the course of the season.
3.2.2. A driver counts all of their scores over the season to calculate their championship total.
3.2.3. The driver with the greatest number of points at the end of the year wins the Drivers' Championship.
3.2.4. The Teams' Championship is open to all teams who compete in the F3RWRS over the course of the season, regardless of whether they manufacture their own chassis or not.
3.2.5. Both drivers competing for a team are eligible to score points for it, with both drivers' scores counting to a team's overall total.
3.2.6. The team with the greatest number of points at the end of the year wins the Teams' Championship.
3.2.7. The Constructors' Championship is open to all chassis constructors supplying at least one (1) team during the season.
3.2.8. Only the highest placed driver for each constructor in a race will score points, with the next best placed constructor, regardless of actual finishing position, scoring the next points until all have been assigned, or there are no constructors left to assign points to.
3.2.9. The constructor with the greatest number of points at the end of the year wins the Constructors' Championship.
3.2.10. In the event of a tie in any championship, best finishes are taken into consideration, until a winner is found.

4. Penalties

4.1. Penalty system

4.1.1. Any driver who is found guilty of a driving offence after an investigation will be subject to penalisation, based on the severity of the offence.
4.1.2. If a driver is found guilty of overtaking under yellow flags, they will be awarded 1 penalty point.
4.1.3. If a driver is found guilty of blocking another competitor during qualifying, they will be awarded 1 penalty point.
4.1.4. If a driver is found guilty of blocking another competitor during qualifying resulting in that competitor missing the 105% rule, they will be awarded 3 penalty points.
4.1.5. If a driver is found guilty of an illegal overtake in the race, they will be awarded 2 penalty points.
4.1.6. If a driver is found guilty of causing an accidental collision, they will be awarded 3 penalty points.
4.1.7. If a driver is found guilty of causing a deliberate collision, they will be awarded 5 penalty points.
4.1.8. If a driver is found guilty of causing an accidental collision that results in injury to another driver, they will be awarded 5 penalty points.
4.1.9. If a driver is found guilty of causing a deliberate collision that results in injury to another driver, they will be awarded 10 penalty points.
4.1.10. If a driver is found guilty of causing any offence that results in exclusion or disqualification, they will be awarded 50 points in addition to the amount awarded for the offence itself.
4.1.11. If a driver receives a total of 15 penalty points, they will be automatically banned for one event.
4.1.12. If a driver receives a total of 25 penalty points, they will be automatically banned for two events.
4.1.13. If a driver receives a total of 35 penalty points, they will be excluded from the championship and banned from racing for the remainder of the season.
4.1.14. All penalty points will be cleared upon the conclusion of each season.
