This page details the full set of rules and regulations for F1 Rejects forum members wishing to participate in the Formula 2 Rejects World Race Series with either a team or drivers.

The contents of this page are independent of the virtual world in which the championship is set, and should be treated as final. Anyone wishing to raise an issue over anything contained on this page should do so on the relevant thread on the forum.

1. Entries

1.1. Team Requirements

1.1.1. Any existing member of the F1 Rejects Forum can enter a team into the F2RWRS.
1.1.2. Each member can only enter one (1) team into the F2RWRS.
1.1.3. Each team can only employ two (2) drivers at any one time.
1.1.4. Each team must state it's chassis and engine prior to entering the F2RWRS.
1.1.5. As of 2016, a team has the choice to run a chassis from one of several manufacturers.
1.1.6. A team's engine must be selected from the list provided prior to the start of the following season.
1.1.7. The 2016 season engine list is as follows:

1.1.8. Each engine manufacturer can supply a maximum of five (5) teams.
1.1.9. Each team must state its nationality.
1.1.10. Numbers are allocated according to the previous season's constructor standings, except for the numbers 1 and 2, which go to the reigning drivers' champion and his teammate.
1.1.11. The entry list is capped at 15 teams.
1.1.12. Any extra teams must announce their intent to join the reserve entry list.
1.1.13. If an existing team leaves the series, the first team on the reserve entry list receives the entry.

1.2. Driver Requirements

1.2.1. As of 2017, no more than 10% (3 Drivers) of the race seats on the F2RWRS grid may be occupied by drivers owned by the same Driver Entitlement Contract (DEC) holder.
1.2.2. Should a DEC holder not exceed this limit, they can enter individual drivers into the F2RWRS which can be placed at either a team they also run, or at other members' teams.
1.2.3. Test and reserve drivers are not included in the limit, unless they have a race drive elsewhere in the RWRS.
1.2.4. A driver can only be eligible if they have participated in sixteen (16) or fewer F1RWRS or Formula 1 Grand Prix weekends.
1.2.5. Article 1.2.4 does not apply if a driver hasn't competed competitively for more than the previous three (3) season in either Formula 1 or the F1RWRS.
1.2.6. As of 2017, no driver may compete full-time in another category should they have a full-time F2RWRS drive (i.e. Double-Duty). However, should exceptional circumstances apply, an F2RWRS driver is free to compete in another category as a substitution for another driver, as adjudicated by the Commissioner.

2. Season Calender

2.1. Calender Organisation

2.1.1. The F2RWRS calender shall be finalised upon the publication of the F1RWRS calender, from which the F2RWRS will decide which races it will support.

2.2. Race Weekend Format

2.2.1. Each weekend consists of one (1) pre-qualifying session (see Article 4.1), one (1) qualifying sessions (see Article 4.2) and one (1) race (see Article 4.3).

3. Points System

3.1. Distribution of Points

3.1.1. Points are awarded to the top 8 finishers of a race. The system is 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.
3.1.2. One (1) point will also be awarded for Pole Position and the Fastest Lap of the race.
3.1.3. Points for finishing position will only be distributed if the driver completes 90% of the race distance.
3.1.4. Points will be awarded for Pole Position and Fastest Lap regardless of whether the competitor who scores that point is classified or not.

3.2. Championships

3.2.1. The Drivers' Championship is open to every driver who competes during the season.
3.2.2. The total score is the sum of all points scored in every race.
3.2.3. The driver with the highest total at the end of the season is declared the F2RWRS Drivers' Champion.
3.2.4. The top five (5) finishers in the Drivers' Championship will be awarded credits which can be used to help them find seats in the F1RWRS (See Article 4.4. of the F1RWRS Regulations)
3.2.5. The Teams' Championship is open to every team who competes during the season.
3.2.6. All drivers are eligible to score points for their constructor. The total is the sum of these scores.
3.2.7. The constructor with the highest total at the end of the season is declared the F2RWRS Teams' Champions.
3.2.8. In the event of a tie in either championship, the tie-breaker will be the driver's or the team's best result.

4. The Race Weekend

4.1. Pre-Qualifying

4.1.1. One (1) pre-qualfying session takes place each weekend.
4.1.2. Six (6) teams take part in pre-qualifying.
4.1.3. The teams who compete in the first session of the season are any new teams as well as the lowest placed teams in the preceding season's constructor standings to make five teams. After every 3 races, the five (5) lowest placed teams now take part.
4.1.4. Two (2) teams proceed to main qualifying based on their drivers' total times.
4.1.5. The other teams record a DNPQ in their results and take no further part in the weekend.

4.2. Qualifying

4.2.1. Qualifying consists of one (1) session.
4.2.2. With the exception of the German Grand Prix and the PDVSA Twin 100, qualifying consists of one (1) 15 minute session with no limit on how many laps each driver can do.
4.2.3. At the German Grand Prix and the PDVSA 100, qualifying will be held in a shootout format with each driver permitted to drive one (1) flying lap on an empty track.
4.2.3. The order of the cars will be determined with a combination of pre-qualifying and the previous race's results.
4.2.4. Twenty-Two (22) drivers take part in qualifying.
4.2.5. The driver who records the fastest lap time out of the session starts the race from pole position.

4.3. The Race

4.3.1. The race takes place over a distance of 160km.
4.3.2. In order to be classified, drivers must complete 90% of the total race distance.

5. Penalties

5.1. Penalty system

5.1.1. As of 2016, the F2RWRS will adopt the penalty system of the F3RWRS
5.1.2. Any driver who is found guilty of a driving offense after an investigation will be subject to penalisation, based on the severity of the offense.
5.1.3. If a driver is found guilty of overtaking under yellow flags, they will be awarded 20 penalty points.
5.1.4. If a driver is found guilty of illegal blocking of another competitor in qualifying, they will be awarded 20 penalty points.
5.1.5. If a driver is found guilty of illegal blocking of another competitor, they will be awarded 30 penalty points.
5.1.6. If a driver is found guilty of an illegal overtake, they will be awarded 30 penalty points.
5.1.7. If a driver is found guilty of causing an accidental collision, they will be awarded 45 penalty points.
5.1.8. If a driver is found guilty of causing a deliberate collision, they will be awarded 65 penalty points.
5.1.9. If a driver is found guilty of causing an accidental collision that results in injury, they will be awarded 75 penalty points.
5.1.10. If a driver is found guilty of causing a deliberate collision that results in injury, they will be awarded 100 penalty points.
5.1.11. If a driver is found guilty of causing any offense that results in exclusion or disqualification, they will be awarded 100 points in addition to the amount awarded for the offense itself.
5.1.12. The Commission reserves the right to assign penalty points for what is deemed to be dangerous, unsporting, or reckless behavior on and off the track, which is not covered by Articles 5.1.3 - 5.1.11.
5.1.13. If a driver receives a total of 100 penalty points, they will be automatically banned for one event.
5.1.14. If a driver receives a total of 200 penalty points, they will be automatically banned for two events.
5.1.15. If a driver receives a total of 300 penalty points, they will be excluded from the championship and banned from racing for the remainder of the season.
5.1.16. All penalty points will be cleared upon the conclusion of each season.
