Bill Lomas

Bill Lomas (born 8 March 1928 in Milford, died 14 August 2007 in Mansfield) was a British motorcycle Grand Prix racer. Lomas mainly competed in the 350cc world championship, starting in 1950. Scoring several podium finishes, Lomas decided to enter the 1955 Singapore Grand Prix in an attempt to compete in Formula One. He adapted poorly and failed to qualify. He went on to win the 350cc world titles in 1955 and 1956, whereupon he retired.
