Verna Freida Klien (born 4 Sept 1995 in Vienna) is an Austrian racing driver currently contracted to Peak Driver Talent, the driver management arm of the Peak Motorsport Group.

Career

Klien entered the Austrian, Swiss, and German karting series in her younger years. It was in Switzerland that she competed against Alvin Ziegler and was noticed by then-team principal of Peak, Dominic Spearman.

Klien competed in the last three rounds of the 2016 International Formula Reject Challenge for Japanese team Takagi Racing Enterprises. She qualified for all three finals and finished tenth in the Japanese final, a point-scoring position.

Personal life

Verna was born in Vienna, Austria in 1995. Her father was Josef Klien and her mother was Frieda Klien, hence her middle name.

She has been romantically linked to fellow Peak driver Alvin Ziegler.
