Karl Wendlinger (born 20 December 1968 in Kufstein) is an Austrian racing driver.

Wendlinger was known as a bright talent and therefore, along with Michael Schumacher, Fritz Kreutzpointner and Heinz-Harald Frentzen, was a part of Mercedes-Benz's young driver programme in the late 1980s and early 1990s and represented the marque in Sportscars and the World Touring Car Masters.

He moved to International Formula 3000 in 1990 and eventually made his Formula One debut in 1991, taking part in two races driving a Brabham.
