2016 Rejects of LFS season

The 2016 Rejects of LFS season was to be the 5th season of the Rejects of LFS series. Initially scheduled to be the 3rd running of the new franchise, the season was cancelled following revelations after Nobishuge Fukuda's fatal incident at the 2015 Round of Kyoto.
The competition organisers, Finnish NVRT Holdings Group, insisted that the competition would continue, albeit with a totally new and revised rules package, and a move towards more established racing circuits around the world.
The successor to Rejects of LFS announced that the new series would be announced after the non-championship Aston 24hours endurance race, which would be the last race governed by the Rejects of LFS Commission.
