The 1956 German Grand Prix was the fourth race of the 1956 Formula One World Championship and was held at the Nürburgring Nordschleife on July 8th 1956. The race was won by Consalvo Sanesi, his fourth career victory and the third consecutive win for Gordini. B. Bira finished second, scoring the first ever podium for Lotus, with José Froilán González scoring a third podium in two races for O.S.C.A..
