WTCM
In 1988, Cudini combined a full season in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft with a number of appearances in the newly-formed World Touring Car Masters series. Cudini took part in the Norisring and Nürburgring rounds for the Snobeck Racing Service team. He unfortunately retired from all the rounds he entered in the main championship but he was drafted in by the works Mercedes team for the non-championship Tooheys 1000 at Bathurst alongside Luis Perez-Sala.
1989 saw Cudini jump to the World championship full-time, joining up with Olaf Manthey Racing. Cudini was a regular points scorer throughout the season, but failed to match the works cars on most occasions and finished the season twelfth in class.
Cudini made the jump to the works Diac Renault Voeckler team in 1990, racing alongside former Grand Prix stars Jacques Laffite and René Arnoux as well as Sophie Fabron.
