John McMillan (born circa 1912) was a racing driver from New Zealand. Virtually nothing is known about him, although he had established a local reputation as a competent engineer and driver in the early 1940s. In 1950, he won the first New Zealand Grand Prix, run to Formula Libre regulations. On the back of this, the taciturn McMillan became New Zealand's first Formula One driver when he competed in the 1952 Australian Grand Prix for Scuderia Maremmana. On an unfamiliar circuit, he adapted well to the surroundings, only barely failing to make the grid. His career lasted until 1957, but no other details on his life are known.
