Jorge Álvarez Torrente (born 12th January 1999 in Granada, Spain) is a Spanish racer currently contracted to Astro Racing Stars. He is the younger brother of F1RWRS driver Diego Álvarez Torrente, and older brother of Formula Female reserve driver Carmen Álvarez Torrente.

Early Life

Jorge was born to José Álvarez, a former racing driver, and Ximena, a store manager in Granada. After seeing his brother Diego make a name for himself in the karting scene, Jorge wanted to see if he could do so too. Having impressed in his home region of Andalusia, Jorge moved to more national categories and impressed further there. After his brother was signed by Astro and impressed in the RoLFS category, Jorge followed suit after impressing the team in a behind-closed-doors test of an RDS car.

2016-: F3RWRS

Jorge joined Nebula Grand Prix in F3RWRS after round one, replacing Jiri Komárek after his sponsors had defaulted on their payments to the team. Unfortunately, since the Nebula car was an evolution of the previous year's Fusion, it was unable to handle the Mugen Honda engine having been based around the Audi unit from 2015. This meant that points were rare for both Jorge and teammate Thiago Mazzacane.
