In this alternate championship, the drivers get a point for each lap they finish down. So Al Pease would get 43 points for Canada 1967. It has been renamed the Horace Gould Award and the Jo Bonnier Award. Jim Clark, a future two-time Drivers' champion, is also famous for winning the 1961 award.
