The 2014 NewF1 season is the 65th season of the Formula One World Championship, a motor racing championship for Formula One cars which is recognised by the sport's governing body, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars. It is also the second season of the NewF1 Series format. Twelve teams and twenty-four drivers will contest the nineteen Grands Prix that made up the calendar for the 2014 season, with the winning driver being crowned the World Drivers' Champion and the winning team the World Constructors' Champions. The season will start in Australia on 16 March 2014 and will end in Abu Dhabi on 23 November 2014.
As per inaugural season, the 2014 pushed on with the new rules that made it a success. Russian Time and Carlin joined the grid, with Marussia and Scorpion relegated to running NewGP2 in 2014.

Changes
Following a raft of changes for 2013 the FIA decided to simply refine the existing rules rather than rewrite them for 2014:
- Test drivers can no longer bought out by other teams without consent of the team they belong to
- Drivers may now be loaned to other teams, but a driver may only drive for one team per weekend
- The existing engine formula will be retained for one more season, with the change to turbo-charged V6s postponed until the 2015 season
