Sho Tsuboi (born May 21, 1995 in Saitama, Japan) is a Japanese racing driver best known for his appearances in Formula One.
Formula One
2020: Toyota
Tsuboi joined Toyota's junior system in 2015 and was named the team's reserve driver ahead of their return to Formula One in 2020 alongside his duties for Team TOM'S in Japan. Tsuboi replaced multiple time World Champion James James Davies in a race seat for the final three races of the season.
2021: Mansell
Tsuboi was loaned to Aeroflot BR Mansell Engineering in 2021 by virtue of their new Toyota engine. Teaming with Artem Markelov, Tsuboi and the Mansell team were a promising package in the early races of the season - finishing second in a Mansell 1-2 at the Argentine Grand Prix followed by a maiden win for himself in the following Indian Grand Prix.
